Charlotte Now Bracing For Severe Thunderstorms, Flash Floods, and Possible Tornadoes

The Charlotte region is about to get hammered with several heavy downpours over the next couple days.

According to the National Weather Service, there’s now a Flash Flood Watch is in effect until Friday morning for the entire western half of North Carolina. Residents around the Charlotte region can expect anywhere between 2″-6″, with the largest quantities of rain and even possible mudslides predicted for the foothills. Some areas along the Blue Ridge Parkway could even see up to 7″ of rain over the next 48 hours.
