On the heels of Earth Day, Crescent Communities is pleased to share that the company’s recently-completed office and mixed-use project in Uptown Charlotte, Ally Charlotte Center, is officially WELL-certified at the Gold level – one of only four WELL-certified buildings in Charlotte. Administered by the International WELL Building Institute, the WELL Building Standard certification focuses on the way the built environment can improve comfort, drive healthier choices, and enhance health and wellness for building employees and tenants.
Wellness-focused features of the 26-story office tower include a 12,000 square foot public plaza centered around a live oak tree relocated from Johns Island, SC, an allée of 14 ginkgo trees, a parking garage with covered bike parking, and easy access to public transportation. In addition to 780,000 square feet of office space, Ally Charlotte Center also has 30,000 square feet of ground-level retail, promoting walkability and physical activity.
