Yesterday afternoon a small plane veered off-course and end up landing on a public street. Emergency crews were immediately dispatched and traffic was backed up for miles in either direction.
The small airplane landed on Parkton Rd., about a quarter mile west of the Wilgrove Airport, where the plane was approved to land;
According to the Charlotte Fire Department, there were 2 people on board and no one was injured;

The cause of the emergency roadway landing is still under investigation.
