Charlotte-area restaurants are serving up free burgers, dollar specials, and discounted meals for National Cheeseburger Day on Friday, September 18.
However, getting the lowest price often requires more than walking through the door. Many chains reserve their offers for app users or rewards members. Others require an additional purchase.
Here are deals from restaurants with Charlotte-region locations. Offers run September 18 unless another date appears below.
- Applebee’s: $8.99 burger and fries. Choose a Classic Cheeseburger or Classic Burger with fries. Order dine-in, through Applebee’s website, or through its app. Third-party delivery orders do not qualify.
- Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar: $10 burger meal. Get the limited-time Jalapeño Business burger with a classic side. This offer requires dining in.
- Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay: $9.18 meal. Get a Palace Classic Cheeseburger, fries, and a small fountain drink. Dine in or order pickup through the app. Charlotte’s restaurant sits at 6100 Fairview Road.
- Buffalo Wild Wings: Buy one cheeseburger, get one free. Purchase a regular-priced cheeseburger and receive another of equal or lesser value. Lunch combos and children’s burgers do not qualify. Limit one offer.
- Burger 21: $5 Cheesy Burgers. Patty Perks members can claim the offer through the app. Find the Ballantyne restaurant at 14825 Ballantyne Village Way, Suite 160.
- Burger King: Free Bacon Cheeseburger with a $3 purchase. Royal Perks members must redeem the offer through the Burger King app or website.
- Dairy Queen: Free cheeseburger with a $1 purchase. DQ Rewards members can receive a single Original Cheeseburger Signature Stackburger with a qualifying digital order. The offer runs September 14–18 at participating Grill & Chill restaurants. Limit one per person.
- Denny’s: Buy one Diner QP Burger, get another half off. The promotion applies to the chain’s Diner QP Burger on September 18.
- Five Guys: Buy one burger, get one free. Order through the website or app September 16–18 using code BOGOBURGER. You must sign into a Five Guys account. The offer excludes in-restaurant purchases and allows one redemption per account.
- Freddy’s: Half-price Triple Steakburgers. Rewards members receive the discount September 18–20, excluding Prime. Redeem through the Freddy’s app.

- Huddle House: Free Single Smash Burger. Rewards members can claim the holiday offer. Regional diners can find a restaurant at 808 E. Liberty Street in York.
- Jack in the Box: Free Jr. Cheeseburger with a $1 purchase. Rewards members must make the qualifying purchase through the app. Limit one redemption.
- McDonald’s: Free Double Cheeseburger with a $1 purchase. MyMcDonald’s Rewards members can redeem the offer through the app. Limit one per person.
- Red Robin: Burger meal starting at $9.99. The Big Yummm Burger Deal includes a Red’s Double Tavern Burger, bottomless side, and bottomless beverage. This ongoing, limited-time offer requires dining in; it isn’t exclusive to National Cheeseburger Day.
- Ruby Tuesday: $6.99 burger with fries or tots. Options include Ruby’s Cheeseburger, the American Smashed Burger, and the Impossible Burger.
- Smashburger: $1 Single Smashburgers. SmashRewards members can choose a single burger at participating restaurants. Limit one per person; additions cost extra.
