Gastonia’s new minor league baseball team, the Gastonia Baseball Club, is set to start its spring season in the Atlantic League.
Taking over from the financially troubled Honey Hunters, the Gastonia Baseball Club, led by Zawyer Sports and Entertainment, pledges to settle debts owed by the Honey Hunters.
After a change in ownership, the team focuses on the upcoming season, aiming to build on past success with two Southern Division titles.
The season opener on Thursday against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs marks the start of exciting initiatives like “What If” nights, where fans choose a temporary team name.
