America’s favorite game show is now on the road and has selected Charlotte as one of the tour cities. Local contestants will have the chance to win cash and prizes given away at the event, and appear on a live taping of The Wheel of Fortune!
The ‘Wheelmobile’ is a 36-foot Winnebago that tours nationwide in search of contestants for the show.
Anyone in the Charlotte area can come to the NASCAR Hall of Fame this weekend and submit an application at least hour before each show to become a contestant. They’ll then select participants to come to the stage and audition via a random draw.
Shows will start at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (May 14th and 15th) with each show lasting about an hour.
The Wheel of Fortune team will be looking for energetic, enthusiastic and fun players for the local live show, as well as the nationally aired show to be aired in a few months.
After the Wheelmobile event in Charlotte, the producers will choose their favorite participants candidates to take part in a final round of auditions, after which, contestants for the nationally aired Wheel of Fortune show will be selected.
You must be 18 years of age to enter.
