Top Five Things To Do Around Charlotte This Weekend

2983

With the pandemic winding down and the majority of Charlotteans now vaccinated, event organizers have started relaunching outdoor events in a socially distanced and responsible way.

This weekend, the Charlotte region will feature number of events and festivals.

Here are the top 5 that we know of happening over the next few days:

#1 Crave Charlotte Festival

Charlotte’s first and only food, wine, mixology & craft brew festival celebrating the best chefs, mixologists & brewers that Charlotte has to offer. Saturday’s massive event will feature wine, cocktails, craft brews, and exceptional plates prepared by 25+ local chefs and mixologists.
Tickets include an unlimited pass to all-you-can-eat and as many drink tastings as you’d like (within reason) on the day of the festival.

#2 Charlotte Thunder vs North Texas Bulls

Charlotte’s legendary indoor arena football team, the Charlotte Thunder (owned in part by Ted Ginn Jr., and Thomas Davis Sr.), will be taking on the North Texas Bulls this weekend in the Bojangles Coliseum.

#3 Sunset Sessions at Anne Springs Close Greenway

Sunset Sessions returns to Fort Mill this weekend from 6pm-9pm. Enjoy our singer/songwriter format on Friday & Saturday nights at the Domtar Forest Porch as the sun dips over the horizon. The Gateway Canteen will serve their full menu along with a full line-up of craft beer and wine.

#4 BBQ and Bluegrass

Tomorrow from 12pm to 9pm Sycamore Brewing will be hosting the largest bbq festival our city has seen all week.
Rollicious Ribs, Ooowee BBQ, Maria’s Mac & Cheese & Fried Chicken, Ogre Sauce Wings, Mike’s Vegan Cookout, and bluegrass by Crystal Fountains & Heroes at Last

#5 White Water Center’s River Jam

Live music takes place throughout the year at a one-of-a-kind outdoor venue in the middle of the world’s largest man-made whitewater river. Genres including roots rock, Americana, bluegrass, folk, and funk are featured on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at the Whitewater Center’s main stage.
