The weekend is almost here!
Here are the top 5 things to do this weekend in Charlotte;
#1 Japanese Festival “Bon Odori 2015”
The Bon Odori Festival returns to the Queen City for the 31st year, bringing Japanese culture to the Wells Fargo Atrium, 301 South Tryon Street, on Saturday, August 1st, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be a traditional tea ceremony, food from Japanese restaurants, dancing, drumming, door prizes, martial arts exhibition, crafts and children’s activities.
This popular event in Uptown Charlotte is free and is hosted by the Japanese Association in Charlotte and The Japanese Language School in Charlotte.
#2 Charlotte Knights vs. Buffalo Bisons
Make sure to check out Uptown Charlotte’s ultimate summer destination spot, which was recently named as the “Best Ballpark in Minor League Baseball” by Baseball America.
The upcoming games against the Buffalo Bisons will feature some of the best fireworks and giveaways of the year.

#3 Nicki Minaj
One of the most famous female vocalists in the world is coming to the PNC Music Pavilion – Charlotte (Formerly Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre).
She just recently kicked off her North American Pinkprint Tour this month, with stops in Brooklyn, Charlotte, Atlanta, Toronto, Chicago, and San Diego.

#4 Whitewater Center River Jam
The U.S. National Whitewater River Center’s popular Whitewater River Jams are free concerts take place every Thursday and Saturday evening from tomorrow night through the end of September.
On both Thursdays and Saturdays, the music will go from 7pm to 10pm. Follow this link to learn about all the bands. A few dates aren’t filled in on USNWC’s calendar yet.
The concerts are a perfect back drop for a fun summer evening outdoors. Bring your friends, enjoy our large food and craft beer selection, and take in the sights and sounds of River Jam.
