The Charlotte region’s fierce “chicken wars” are about to heat up again as one of the nation’s most recognizable chains finally is finally about to open their first location in our area.

Raising Cane’s will open its new location on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 520 John Ross Parkway in Rock Hill, according to the company’s website.

The Louisiana-based chain is known for its focused menu of chicken finger meals, Texas toast, crinkle-cut fries, and its signature Cane’s Sauce. While the company has rapidly grown nationwide, it has been one of the last major chicken brands to enter the Charlotte market in a significant way.

A company spokesperson previously confirmed plans for the Rock Hill location in July 2025. At the time, representatives said the opening would serve as a foothold for broader expansion across the region.

The new Rock Hill restaurant places Raising Cane’s in the heart of one of the fastest-growing areas in York County. Its arrival adds to the growing list of national brands investing along the John Ross Parkway corridor.

Company officials have also stated they hope to continue expanding further into the Charlotte area following this opening.

With its grand opening set for Feb. 24, Rock Hill residents will soon get their first official taste of one of the country’s most talked-about chicken chains.
