These four teams have dominated the playoff era and have won 22 conference championships between them since 2014! You can expect to see at least one of these four teams in the Playoffs. There’s only been one match that hasn’t featured one of these back in 2015! Georgia
Last year, Georgia had a tough time, and we saw some bleak losses to Alabama and Florida. But, with JT Daniels and the return of their key offensive players, the tide looks as if it’s about to turn! Cincinnati is a bit of a powerhouse outside of the Power 5 conferences and one to watch! Over the past three seasons, the team has built a name for itself with an impressive 31-6 record. The team reached number 8 last year in the Playoff Committee’s Top 25. It’s not quite the top four like the teams we looked at earlier,m but could that change?
They’ve got a cracking lineup for their team and a head coach that focuses on defense. If you are looking for an exciting team to get behind and support, Cincinnati is a good place to start.
Penn State
Penn State hasn’t had the best start. They lost their most promising offense talent and their backup to injuries and retirement. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t a team to watch! They have won some games and have a decent team filled with talent.
While they might not enter the top ten this season, you might see them aiming for the New Year’s Six bowls! It will be interesting to watch Penn State and see how far up their rankings this season. If you want a team you can get behind and hopefully enjoy a journey upwards to success, Penn State is a good place to start!
