One of the best news bloopers of the year just occurred in Asheville during last week’s snowstorm.

WLOS journalist Justin Hinton was reporting on the snowfall when Facebook’s live mask filter was accidentally activated. As he talked, a variety of masks and effects covered the screen, including a cute fox, a jet pilot, a wizard, and a spooky flashlight lighting effect.

The video has now been watched over 150,000 times and shared more than 1,600 times:

He soon posted a follow up post on his Facebook page explaining what happened:

It’s highly unlikely this was done as a publicity stunt either, as Justin is a highly respected reporter in his field. He’s a 2019 RTDNA Regional Murrow Award recipient and 2016 winner of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Southeast Emmy Award for Live News Reporting.

Justin will likely now be immortalized in blooper videos and social media memes.

Gotta love the internet!
