NC Governor Signs New Order To Prohibit Utilities From Cutting Service Or Charging Late Fees

The Governor of North Carolina has just signed NC Executive Order No. 124, which prohibits utility companies from shutting off any services in North Carolina due to non payment for the next 60 days.

The new order also encourages all companies, including banks, not to charge overdraft fees, late fees, and other penalties during this time of crisis.

Landlords are also strongly encouraged to delay any evictions that are already entered in the court system and to avoid filing any new evictions during this time.
