Memorial Service For George Floyd Held in Uptown Charlotte Amid 10th Day of Protests

Yesterday a memorial was held in Uptown Charlotte’s Marshall Park for George Floyd before protesters took to the streets to make their voices heard for the 10th straight day of racial injustice protests in Charlotte.

Hundreds gathered around the park to sign their name, write messages, and lay flowers 1 day after an official memorial service was held in George Floyd’s hometown of Hoke County, NC.

Protesters then began to march through the streets of Charlotte for the 10th straight day.

The protests were mostly peaceful, with a couple arrests occurring after 10:30
