Major League Soccer just announced that the 2026 MLS All-Star Game will take place at Bank of America Stadium, marking the first time Charlotte FC will host the league’s premier summer event.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber made the announcement in Uptown Charlotte this morning alongside local officials, calling the Queen City a “world-class soccer destination.” The event will highlight the league’s 30th All-Star matchup and bring a full week of festivities to the city next summer.

“The success of soccer matches at Bank of America Stadium has helped position Charlotte on the global stage as a premier destination for hosting some of the world’s top players and teams,” said Panthers owner David Tepper in a press release. “With 2026 set to be a landmark year for soccer in the United States, we’re honored to play a part by hosting the MLS All-Star Game.”

All-Star Week will feature a lineup of fan-friendly events, including the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge presented by AT&T, the MLS NEXT All-Star Game presented by Allstate, and the MLS All-Star Soccer Celebration. Organizers say venues across Charlotte will host soccer-themed programming, entertainment, and community engagement initiatives.

Since launching in 2019, Charlotte FC has emerged as a rising force in MLS, regularly drawing league-leading attendance. The club’s debut in 2022 set a league record with over 74,000 fans at Bank of America Stadium. The facility has welcomed global giants like Bayern Munich and Benfica and hosted high-profile tournaments such as Copa América and the FIFA Club World Cup.

The 2026 All-Star festivities mark another milestone for Charlotte, adding to its growing reputation on the global soccer stage.

Additional details, including ticket availability and the opponent for the All-Star Game, will be released in the coming months.
