Gaston County is now reporting the largest percentage increase in COVID-19 cases in North Carolina.
Between May 30th and June 12, the county saw a 312% increase in positive cases, as well as a doubling of the number of positive cases out of the total tests taken.
Gaston County is now reporting a total of 576 cases and 9 deaths.

According to the CDC, patients with confirmed CoVID-19 infection have reportedly had mild to severe respiratory illness with symptoms of:
- fever
- cough
- shortness of breath
CDC believes at this time that symptoms of CoVID-19 may appear in as few as 2 days or as long as 14 after exposure.
