Yet another major company has just announced plans to move their headquarters to the Queen City.
Motion solutions manufacturer Columbus McKinnon just announced plans to move their corporate headquarters from Upstate New York to Charlotte, the same week the ACC made a similar announcement.
What a day for Charlotte! Today kicks off a week of @PresidentsCup golf, and we welcome two new members to our corporate community with HQ relocation news from @theACC and Columbus McKinnon. We’re grateful to have all of you here and we know you‘ll love the city as much as we do.

In an interview with Buffalo News, Columbus McKinnon CEO David Wilson said the shift to North Carolina will put their headquarters closer to the majority of their customers, manufacturing facilities, and employees (they currently employ about 3,400 people).
He also noted the move will help with their goal of growing their revenue to $1.5 billion within the next 5 years – compared to $650 million in 2021.
What do you think about the move?
