This morning, CMPD held a press conference where they discussed the recent operations of the Retail Theft Task Force.
According to officers, there have already been 25 cases initiated by a robbery in 2022, with many thieves being repeat offenders. One busted retail theft crime ring was discovered to have 82 thousand dollars in cash, along with around 50 thousand dollars worth of new tools and 3 vehicles.
“We deserve better, our community deserves better, and our retail stores deserve better as well,” said CMPD Detective Anthony Finocchio.
