Charlotte residents are starting to win real cash in Uptown playing a new real-life augmented reality monopoly game.

Ally Bank has partnered with Monopoly and the City of Charlotte to turn our city into a virtual playing board.

There are now Queen City-related monopoly squares placed in key locations all around giving instructions on either where to go next, or how to win free money.

All the of the squares placed around Uptown Charlotte have different monopoly themes and instructions on how to win free cash, or how to win money for a local charity with the community chest squares;

To play the game, you simply;

1. Find the Monopoly squares in Uptown Charlotte.

2. Follow the directions.

3. Find more squares.

4. Win money.

The real-life Uptown Monopoly game will end on October 28th.
