The real estate company Point 2 Homes has just ranked our city as having one of the fastest growing real estate markets on the continent over the past 5 years.
To see which North American cities witnessed the biggest price changes over the past 5 years, the company analyzed all cities with a population over 500,000 and ranked them according to the change in home price.
The study found that:
- The city of Charlotte saw a 40% jump prices, ranking us 23 out of 83 in North America.
- The median home price in Charlotte went from $168,000 to $234,500 in 5 years.
- San Francisco boasts the highest net increase of all the cities in the study ($550,000)
The Queen City ranked just ahead of Fresno and San Diego, and just behind Staten Island and Indianapolis in the study:
