This coming Tuesday at 6pm, CMS leaders will be voting on $180 million in contracts to build 2 high schools in our city.

The contracts would include building several new buildings and one new building on the campus of West Charlotte High, and a 125-classroom high school next to Palisades Park Elementary.

Both of the new high schools were part of a much larger $922 million school bond package that Mecklenburg County voters approved back in 2017.

Both of the new high schools are now set to open sometime in 2022.

You can watch the discussion and vote live this coming Tuesday night on CMS’s Facebook page here.
