The Charlotte Hornets just delivered one of the wildest wins in franchise history—and kept their playoff hopes alive.

Charlotte stunned the Miami Heat 127-126 in overtime Tuesday night at the Spectrum Center, marking the team’s first-ever Play-In victory and its first home postseason win in nearly a decade.

LaMelo Ball led the charge with 30 points and 10 assists, including a clutch layup with 4.7 seconds left in overtime to give Charlotte the lead.

Moments later, Miles Bridges sealed the win by blocking Davion Mitchell at the buzzer, setting off a chaotic celebration on the court.

Bridges finished with 28 points and 9 rebounds, while Coby White added 19 points. White also hit a clutch three-pointer with 10.8 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.

Miami stayed competitive throughout, with Mitchell scoring 28 points and Andrew Wiggins adding 27. Tyler Herro scored 23, including a late three and three free throws to briefly give Miami the lead in overtime.

The game featured multiple momentum swings. Charlotte used a 10-0 run in the third quarter to take control, while Miami responded with a 12-0 run in the fourth.

The Heat also built a late six-point lead before Charlotte rallied again behind key shots from White and Brandon Miller.

Miami lost Bam Adebayo to a lower back injury in the second quarter, and he did not return.

Charlotte now advances to face the loser of the matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic on Friday. The winner of that game will claim the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

For the Hornets, the victory keeps alive their push for a first playoff appearance in 10 years—and delivers a historic night for the franchise.
