For the past few days, the Southpark mall has had Santa sitting under a “Glacier Santa Experience,” it quickly became a joke on social media and an outrage to people all over Charlotte;

People were so against the mall’s attempt at changing the traditional Christmas display that a Change.org petition was created to return the tree.
After over 20,000 signatures were submitted, the mall finally listened.
The mall recently tweeted; “We’re adding key elements to the Santa set this week & listening to our customer feedback, we will now include a traditional Christmas tree.”
Sorry to anyone who liked the futuristic melting glacier lightshow thingy – you’re just gonna have to settle with a giant decorated Christmas tree for Christmas this year.
