North Carolina Ranked Among The Top States for Economic Growth

Analysts at the site compared 27 economic performance indicators from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, ranging from overall GDP growth to startup activity.

North Carolina scored 57.34 out of 100 to come in 15th place overall – we ranked 11th in economic health, 12th in innovation, and 24th spot in overall economic activity.

Washington, California and Utah were the top 3 states, and West Virginia, Louisiana, and Mississippi were the bottom 3, all with similarly depressing scores. South Carolina landed right in the middle at #24.
