Governor Issues Proclamation Asking All SC Residents To Stand For National Anthem

South Carolina’s Governor Henry McMaster has just issued an official proclamation requiring all residents to stand for the national anthem during this Sunday afternoon’s NFL’s Super Bowl LII.

McMaster also officially named this Sunday “Stand for the Flag Super Bowl Sunday,” calling the American flag “the greatest symbol of freedom the world has ever known.”

“I ask that all South Carolinians show the world our state’s resolute commitment to supporting our troops by standing for the national anthem wherever you watch the Super Bowl with your loved ones this Sunday. #IStand,” McMaster under a signed picture of his proclamation.
