Charlotte-based Segra has just completed their merger with Unite Private Networks (UPN) – bringing together two of the biggest players in America’s telecommunications industry.

The new powerhouse conglomerate will be able to provide the country with enhanced connectivity, cybersecurity, cloud, and collaboration services across a 44,000-mile fiber network spanning 24 states.

“The combined strengths and expertise of both Segra and UPN create an unstoppable force, opening up an exciting new chapter in our journey,” said Segra CEO Kevin Anderson in a press release. “With our unified team, expanded commercial technology solutions and vast network, we’re ready to deliver even greater value to our customers, reaching new markets and innovating in ways that will redefine the future of connectivity.”

The new merger also includes acquiring Everstream’s all-fiber network in St. Louis, adding nearly 1,000 route miles, and expanding Segra’s capabilities to serve over 20,000 customer locations.
