A tornado struck Garner, NC on Sunday afternoon, causing a long path of extensive damage, including numerous fallen trees, downed power lines, and destroyed homes.
The National Weather Service (NWS) issued multiple tornado warnings for Wake County, particularly in its eastern and south-central areas, starting at approximately 12:30 p.m. this afternoon.
The NWS has confirmed a tornado touchdown in Garner, NC, just south of Raleigh, based on radar evidence.
