The crash happened on Aug. 28 at the Dollar Tree on West Franklin Boulevard. Police said the driver mistakenly pressed the gas pedal, panicked, and jumped the curb before smashing into the store.

The white SUV ended up entirely inside the building, leaving shattered glass scattered across the floor and startling shoppers inside.

According to Gastonia police, three people sustained injuries in the incident. Two were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, while the third was treated at the scene. None of the injuries were considered serious.
