North Carolina’s own The Fresh Market has just been crown the #1 grocery store in America by USA Today, beating out legendary chains such as Wegmans, Lidl, Trader Joes, and Aldi. They polled their readers, asking who they believed was the best in the U.S. for “value, selection, and great service”.
USA Today describes the #1 grocery store in America as follows:
“The original Fresh Market was inspired by the food markets of Europe — a place where shoppers could have a more intimate and personalized experience than the warehouse-style supermarkets of the time. The Fresh Market now operates 160 locations in 22 states with a focus on fresh produce and private label items.”
Besides being crowned the best overall grocery store, it also triumphed in the Best Grocery Store Bakery and Best Grocery Store Deli categories.
