A shooting occurred early Sunday morning just south of Charlotte Douglas Airport, leaving one person dead.
Charlotte MEDIC responded at 6:30am near the intersection of Steel Creek Rd and Dorcas Lane.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Their identity has not been released yet.
