Charlotte is once again preparing for a ghostly transformation as Spirit Halloween begins to emerge in defunct department stores and half-vacant shopping plazas, bringing life—and fright—back to otherwise forgotten corners of our city.
This year, the company expects to open more than 1,500 locations nationwide, including hundreds across the Charlotte region.
In a press release, Spirit Halloween announced plans to hire a record 50,000 seasonal employees across North America, from sales associates to store managers.
“With the anticipation for Halloween at an all-time high, we are committed to creating the same immersive experience that keeps our fans coming back year after year,” said Steven Silverstein, CEO of Spirit Halloween. “The talent and enthusiasm of our associates is the driving force that brings Halloween to life each year, and we look forward to welcoming new and returning faces for another killer season.”
Here in Charlotte, they’ve already posted 32 jobs a full 4 months before Halloween. Confirmed locations in Charlotte include 7233 East Independence Boulevard (next to Super G Mart) and 9320 Center Lake Drive (Northlake Mall) — just two of many empty retail spaces about to be reanimated by Spirit’s seasonal pop-ups.
