The Carolina Panthers were officially eliminated from playoff contention after a 22-16 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
The team, now 3-10, has missed the postseason for seven consecutive seasons, marking the longest drought in franchise history under owner David Tepper.
Despite leading 16-14 heading into the fourth quarter, the Panthers couldn’t hold off the playoff-bound Eagles, who capitalized on a late interception and injuries to key players.

Chuba Hubbard surpassed 1,000 rushing yards for the first time in his career, finishing with 92 yards and a touchdown. Rookie Jonathan Brooks and reserve running back Raheem Blackshear left the game with injuries, leaving Hubbard as the sole healthy running back. Bryce Young completed 19-of-34 passes for 191 yards, a touchdown, and his first interception since Week 9, which led to an Eagles’ touchdown just before halftime.
The Panthers also suffered defensive setbacks, with Jaycee Horn exiting in the fourth quarter due to a groin injury. Despite the loss, the team showed resilience against top-tier opponents but continues to fall short in close games. Carolina will host the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday at Bank of America Stadium in Uptown Charlotte.
