North Carolina has produced more than its fair share of well-known athletes over the years. But who are the most well-known?
Google Trends was used to determine which athletes were being searched for the most in our state, that list was then narrowed down by which names were from our state, and which region they were from – ultimately concluding who North Carolina’s most well-known athletes were for 2023.
‘NC athlete’ was defined as a person who was born or resided in North Carolina in their formative years for at least 10 years.
