September marks World Alzheimer’s Month and for patients suffering from the disease, no memories are safe — from the recollections of daily responsibilities to life’s most cherished moments. On Sept. 22, the powerful, eye-opening documentary Memories for Life: Reversing Alzheimer’s will share a new, proven treatment as it premieres to Charlotte audiences for the first time.

The film, narrated by Grammy Award Winner Michael Bublé, follows six Alzheimer’s patients refusing to accept their prognosis. Instead of turning to traditional treatment methods and medication, they’re following a comprehensive functional medicine approach called the ReCODE (Reverse Cognitive Decline) Protocol that is meant to uncover and treat the root causes.

The Charlotte premiere is being spearheaded by local resident and certified ReCODE health coach, Robyn Albaum. As founder of the Alzheimer’s Alternative, Robyn served as the primary caregiver to her mother who suffered from the disease for nearly a decade.
