Mecklenburg County Commissioners have just approved $550,000 in funding for improvements in several Charlotte golf courses in their Sept 17th meeting.
The renovations will focus on upgrading irrigation systems, revamping sand traps, improving drainage, and repairing cart paths. These enhancements aim to improve the quality and sustainability of the courses.
The courses that will receive funding for renovations include; Charles T Myers, Sunset Hills, Dr. Charles Sifford, and Harry L Jones.
According to Mecklenburg County, Park and Recreation staff will ensure all projects comply with procurement guidelines and manage the bidding process where necessary.
