Several massive low-pressure systems are set to bring winter weather to North Carolina and potentially historic levels of snowfall to the northern states this weekend into next week.
The National Weather Service just issued the following hazardous weather warning for the Charlotte region for this weekend’s storm:
A strong low pressure system is forecast to move through the southern Appalachian region Friday night and Saturday. This system will bring a chance for a wintry mix of precipitation, with ice accretion possible Friday night into Saturday morning.
The 3rd system could bring historic blizzard conditions to several East Coast states by the middle of next week.
Man, the signal is definitely there for a big, big winter storm by the middle of next week on the ninth through 11 January.
