Man Dies At Industrial Factory in Kings Mountain – Investigation Underway

A 67-year-old Gastonia man died Tuesday morning following a workplace accident at NVR Building Products in Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

Emergency crews from Kings Mountain Police, Kings Mountain Fire Department, and Cleveland County EMS responded around 9:10 a.m. to a report of cardiac arrest at the facility on Riverside Court. Upon arrival, responders discovered that an industrial incident had occurred and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Authorities identified the victim as Willy Victor Carmona. His family has been notified, and the Cleveland County chaplain was dispatched to provide support.

While no foul play is suspected, the incident remains under active investigation. The North Carolina Department of Labor is assisting local authorities in determining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
