Kannapolis’ Josh Sanders Competing In Finale of The Voice Tonight

Kannapolis' Josh SandersKannapolis native Josh Sanders competed last night for in the grand finale of NBC’s “The Voice”.

Sanders, part of Team Reba, has won over fans in the Carolinas and beyond. On Monday night, Sanders and the four other finalists each performed one ballad and one up-tempo song. For the ballad, Sanders gave a moving performance of Vince Gill’s “Go Rest High on that Mountain.” He then performed a lively rendition of “Boots On” by Randy Houser.

The winner will be announced tonight.

Several guest performers are joining the finale celebration. Keith Urban performed Monday. On Tuesday, The Black Keys, Jelly Roll, Kate Hudson, Lainey Wilson, Muni Long, Thomas Rhett, and Gina Miles will perform.

Sanders originally joined Reba McEntire’s team after singing “Whiskey On You” by Nate Smith in the blind auditions.
