A Gastonia man is now in jail after exposing himself to numerous women at a Planet Fitness while claiming to be female.
Police arrested 38-year-old Christopher Allan Miller after a woman called 911 and told the dispatcher a naked man in the locker room was asking her to rub lotion on him and shower with her.
Channel 9’s Ken Lemmon shared what the dispatcher and Planet Fitness said in this video:
Planet Fitness’ current policy permits members to use restroom and locker room facilities based on their self-reported gender identity.
However, concerns arose when it was revealed that Miller had not previously self-reported his gender identity. This raised questions about the effectiveness of the gym’s policy in ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for all members.
As of now, Planet Fitness has not made any public statements regarding potential changes to its policies in response to this incident.
