The Charlotte City Council just voted to approve Pappas Properties ambitious plans to build out their final phase of Midtown North – a massive midrise development next to the Metropolitan (the one with Trader Joes) that already includes the Canopy MLS tower and Atrium’s newest campus.

According to Pappas’ website, “The final phase of Midtown will include a mix of high-end large condominiums, luxury apartments, and a boutique hotel with first-floor retail and restaurants.”

Specifically, the final phase will include a multifamily tower that reaches 275 feet tall with 425 luxury units, a 160 feet tall tower with mixed-income units, 150-room hotel, 35,000 square feet of retail, and 100,000 square feet of office space, according to the zoning petition that was just approved by the city.

What do you think about the development?
