Charlotte Has Just Reached A Historic Milestone In The Fashion World

259

Charlotte has already established itself as a leading banking center, energy hub, and filming destination – now we’re making our mark on the fashion world.

The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art recently hosted Charlotte’s very first luxury fashion show – Fashion D’Lux. Porsche Design, Helmut Lang, Carolina Isa, Nordstrom, and several other major players descended on the Queen City to show the world their latest collections;

The first major Fashion D’Lux runways show was truly a star-studded weekend, with appearances by NBA star Ish Smith, Emmy winning Astrid Martinez, Grammy winning Fantasia Barrino, and an appearance by the legendary Mario Lopez.

At first glance, they may appear to be all about the glitz and glamour, but the true heart of Fashion D’Lux is to help the local community of Charlotte. They are working hard to provide a platform for local businesses to collaborate and develop relationships with global brands, as well as to support local charities such as The Possibility Project.

“People ask how we were able to align ourselves with such reputable and iconic companies,” says Peter Carey Creative Director. “We sincerely believe that these organizations care about their local communities and welcome new and creative ways to partner with quality businesses.”
