Charlotte’s own Famous Toastery, now with 26 locations across the Carolinas and Virginia, has just secured the naming rights for the Bahamas Bowl in their first major step to advertising on a national level.

Scheduled for December 18th at 2:30 pm, the Famous Toastery Bowl will take place at UNC Charlotte’s Jerry Richardson Stadium. This exciting matchup features teams from the Conference USA facing off against those from the Mid-American Conference.

“We’re thrilled to have such a beloved locally-based company like Famous Toastery as the sponsor for our college football bowl game in Charlotte,” ESPN VP Clint Overby said in a press release. “The move to the Charlotte 49ers’ Jerry Richardson Stadium and this sponsorship all came together very quickly, and we are very thankful to have such supportive partners for this bowl game.”

The relocation of this bowl game to Charlotte this year is due to ongoing renovations at its typical venue in the Bahamas. Notably, it is a part of the ESPN Events portfolio, with this division of ESPN overseeing and managing collegiate sporting events across the nation.
