Charlotte-area police are now asking for the public’s help in finding a potentially armed and dangerous thief, who was recently caught on camera stealing Pokémon cards from a Five Below store.

The incident occurred Sunday, June 29, at the Five Below on Tingle Drive in Salisbury. According to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, the man entered the store, loitered briefly, then suddenly dashed behind the counter, grabbed a box of Pokémon cards and bolted out the door.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect escaping in what appears to be a gray Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible, an older model with the top down. Investigators say the man’s aggressive behavior has raised safety concerns for store employees and customers.

No arrests have been made, and the suspect’s identity remains unknown. Deputies believe he may have had accomplices and are now calling on the public to help identify him.
