Carbon monoxide (CO) exposure is a known hazard in indoor go-kart venues where gas-powered engines can emit toxic fumes. Without proper ventilation, these emissions can accumulate rapidly and pose serious health risks.
CO is an invisible, odorless gas that can cause poisoning without warning. Even brief exposure in enclosed spaces can be dangerous.
Symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning include:
-
Headache
-
Dizziness
-
Nausea or vomiting
-
Fatigue or weakness
-
Confusion or poor judgment
-
Chest pain
-
Shortness of breath
-
Loss of consciousness
Emergency officials remind the public that proper ventilation and carbon monoxide detectors are critical in any enclosed area using combustion engines.
No further details have been released. Victory Lane Indoor Karting has not yet commented on the incident.
