Bryce Young Leads Panthers Comeback in Shocking 27-24 Victory Over The Dolphins

The Carolina Panthers staged a dramatic comeback Sunday to beat the Miami Dolphins 27-24 at Bank of America Stadium.

After trailing 17-0 in the first half, quarterback Bryce Young found his rhythm, leading multiple key drives in the second half. With two minutes left, Young connected with tight end Mitchell Evans for a go-ahead touchdown, giving Carolina their second lead of the fourth quarter.

A defensive stop sealed the win as Patrick Jones sacked Tua Tagovailoa on third down, forcing a Dolphins punt. Carolina ran out the clock thanks to a critical pass interference call on cornerback Jack Jones.

Young’s early fumble and interception had contributed to Miami’s early lead. But two crucial fourth-down conversions—one to Jimmy Horn Jr. in the fourth quarter and another to Tet McMillan in the second—kept the Panthers alive.

Rico Dowdle’s 43-yard run and a penalty for a hip-drop tackle on Young helped fuel Carolina’s momentum. The Panthers also benefitted from a Dolphins misfire when Jaylen Waddle was left wide open on a crucial second down.

Now 2-3, the Panthers will now prepare to take on the Dallas Cowboys at home, this coming Sunday afternoon starting at 1pm at the Bank of America Stadium (tickets here).
