Bethany Teague, a teacher from Gastonia, has just advanced to the next round of “American Idol” after earning a golden ticket during Sunday’s episode.
In an interview on the show, Teague talked about her drive and deep commitment to her family. Following the tragic loss of her mother in 2017, Teague stepped into a parental role for her three younger siblings.
Now 25, Teague’s journey from working in a dementia unit post-high school to pursuing higher education in Elementary Education and Teaching at Central Piedmont Community College.
After graduating, she landed a job as a teacher at First United Methodist Church in Gastonia.
When Covid hit, Teague started her musical career in her down time on TikTok, and after her initial rejection for American Idol in 2020, she continued to work on her voice, her persona, and her followers.
