Dave Chappelle has announced a surprise performance in Charlotte next week.
The renowned comedian will take the stage at Ovens Auditorium on Wednesday, October 23 (tickets available here). His visit to the Queen City is part of a series of shows that also include stops in Durham on October 21 (tickets available here) and North Charleston on October 22 (tickets available here). Chappelle, co-creator and star of “Chappelle’s Show” and recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, remains a force in comedy. He recently earned his fourth Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album in 2023 for “The Closer” and also released his latest Netflix special, “The Dreamer,” in the same year.

Over his career, he has won numerous awards, appeared regularly on “Saturday Night Live,” and produced ten comedy specials, further solidifying his status as an influential voice in the industry. His raw humor and candid commentary on social issues continue to resonate with audiences, making his shows highly sought after.
