Many Americans are closely watching the housing market this week, amid news that we could soon see the first interest rate cut in years.

With this top of mind, GOBankingRates researchers published a new analysis uncovering the 50 fastest-growing suburbs in America — with average home prices below $500,000.

Methodology And Findings

Their researchers first identified all U.S. suburbs with a July 2024 typical home value below $500,000, as defined by Zillow.

From there, they found which of these suburbs had the largest population increase between 2020 and 2022, which is the most recent publicly available U.S. Census data.

Their findings show Mooresville and Concord both ranked among the 50 fastest-growing and affordable suburbs in the nation.
