Charlotte native Stephen Curry led Team USA to a gold medal victory this past weekend, solidifying his legacy as one of the greatest basketball players of all time.
In what may be his only Olympic appearance, Curry scored 24 points, including a series of critical three-pointers, to secure a 98-87 win against France in the gold medal game.
His performance was instrumental in both the final and the semifinal against Serbia, where he scored 36 points to help Team USA overcome a 17-point deficit.

Curry, an alum of Davidson College and Charlotte Christian, delivered one of the most memorable moments of his career by making threes on four consecutive possessions to close out the game.
Although French phenom Victor Wembanyama led all scorers with 20 points, it was Curry’s clutch shooting that ensured Team USA’s victory. This gold medal adds another prestigious accolade to Curry’s decorated career, affirming his status as one of basketball’s all-time greats.
