Located on the corner of E. 8th St. and N. College St., 1st Ward Social Bar and Lounge is setting itself up to be Charlotte’s hot new game-day and private party Uptown spot.
“We’re excited to open our doors in the First Ward neighborhood. We are right in the heart of Charlotte. It’s an inviting place for all kinds of occasions. We’re two blocks away from Spectrum Arena, making 1st Ward Social makes for a great spot to grab a few drinks before a Hornet’s game or a concert,” says Nicole Clyburn, General Manager.
1st Ward features some unique cocktail creations, like the Southern Belle, made with vodka and peach puree, and their Backyard BBQ cocktail smoked right at your table with BBQ mesquite wood chips. The small bites menu includes delicious items such as the watermelon caesar salad and an ever-favorite jumbo pretzel with spicy mustard and beer cheese.
Reid Clayton, the food and beverage manager for 1st Ward Social, emphasized that they “put a lot of thought into developing the cocktails and creating a fun environment and a food menu that would complement the drinks well. We’ll also have different daily drink and food specials, including flatbreads and a weekly skillet mac and cheese.”
You can also expect great events at the lounge with trivia on Thursday nights, live music, and shuffleboard tournaments.
