At least 11 people were injured in a Sunday night shooting during a Memorial Day weekend gathering on a charter boat in Little River, South Carolina, according to Horry County Police.
The shooting occurred around 9:30 pm near the waterfront community just north of Myrtle Beach. Investigators said the incident stemmed from an altercation during a private event aboard the boat.
Ten individuals sustained confirmed gunshot wounds, while one person reported a non-gunfire-related injury. Several victims arrived at hospitals by private vehicles, and police said at least some remain in critical but stable condition.
Authorities have not yet identified any suspects. However, officials emphasized the shooting appears to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.
Detectives continue to investigate and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
